Darlington's is committed to sustainable and ethical coffee sourcing.
There are many worthy and notable ways by which this can be done, and so we take a broad approach by working with our customers to find the brief that best suits them.
We have a ‘community coffees’ programme whereby we are steadily building a network of coffee producers that we are buying coffee from. Examples of this are in Brazil, El Salvador, Zambia, Costa Rica, Colombia and Guatemala.
We are able to offer our customers estate coffees. As in the case of community coffees, these are likely to be from farms or co-operatives we have audited ourselves and therefore have a full picture of the economic and social conditions at origin.
In order to demonstrate to consumers the authenticity of ethical sourcing we can produce your coffee in accordance with Fairtrade, Organic or Rainforest Alliance certifications.
